“Common Man” now in our local language we all know ‘aam aadmi’’, ‘aam nagrik’, etc, .These are the words which represent approx every citizen of India. Before coming directly on my mentioned issue let me give little brief about our nation. India has a population of 1.17 billion people, comprising of 1/6th of the world population. India containing 17.31% of the world's population, India is projected to be the world's most populos country by 2025, surpassing China, its population exceeding 1.6 billion people by 20u50,(graph above). However, India has an astonishing demographic dividend where more than 50% of its population is below the age of 25 and more than 65% hovers below the age of 35. It is expected that, in 2020, the average age of an Indian will be 29 years, compared to 37 for China and 48 for Japan; and, by 2030, India's dependency ratio should be just over 0.4. India has more than two thousand ethnic groups, and every major religion is represented, as are four major families of languages (Indo-European, Dravidian, Austro-Asiatic and Tibeto-Burman languages) as well as a language isolate (the Nihali language espoken in parts of Maharashtra).About 70% of the people live in more than 5,50,000 villages and the remainder in more than 200 towns and cities. The government has recognised 18 languages as official; hindi is widely spoken. Although 83% of population are Hind,India also comprises of more than 120 million muslims, one of the world’s largest muslim populations. The population also includes Christians,Jains,Sikhs,Buddhists, and Parsis.
So,this was the little brief about our nation and I hope many of u going through this page know all these things.
Now without being diverted much I should come back upon my issue i.e., ‘Common Man’.. I think every one has gone through this particular word..Basically this word is TAG upon the people of middle class or lower class people..now what are these middle and lower class people..Actually on the basis of the Indian economy or Standard of living of the people the class has been divided, such as..upper class, upper middle class, middle middle class, lower middle class and last not the least lower class..this is nothing but acoording to this class discrimination one could judge the standard of living of the person. Now for some more understanding look upon this..
India's population can be divided into 5 groups on the basis of annual household income. These groups are:
1. Higher income
2. Upper middle income
3. Middle middle income
4. Lower middle income
5. Lower income
According to National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER) there are 5 consumer classes that differ in their ownership patterns and consumption behavior across various segments of goods.
Consumer Classes Annual Income in Rs. 1996 2001 2007 Change
The Rich Rs. 215,000 and more 1.2 2.0 6.2 416%
The Consuming Class Rs 45- 215,000 32.5 54.6 90.9 179%
The Climbers Rs. 22-45,000 54.1 71.6 74.1 37%
The Aspirants Rs. 16-22,000 44 28.1 15.3 -65%
The Destitute Below Rs. 16,000 33 23.4 12.8 -61%
Total 164.8 180.7 199.2 21%

the 5 classes of consumer households (consumer classification) show the economic development across the country based on consumption trends.
Now on the basis of above details one could very well that on what ground does this class is made. As our nation is developing day by day and that even rapidly but as far as the citizens are concerned the discrimination is made on several grounds. Still the mentality is not grown. Still the biased feeling is present. The word common man is very simple but our nation is formed because of this common man. And we are also somewhere part and parcel of this common mass. And when we talk about this common mass it’s termed as common people and not common man. As our present government or the previous governments all raise every single agenda behind which the common man is present. Many promises are made to these common people that many development would be made in favor of the AAM JANTA or the AAM NAGRIK.But can any of you tell me that how much progress have been made in a life of a common man regarding the budget passed in previous year or this year. It’s just the promises made and not the development. Practically just 20-25% of promises made seems to be fulfilled rest are kept for the next election agenda..INFALTION rate is going higher day by day but no remedies have been planned yet. The present government is just telling to slow down the increasing rate of inflation in their statements made and not practically. The basic reason behind the standard of living of people is diminishing is just due to this inflation rate.
We always talk about the issues like poverty, illiteracy; unemployment…the mass that is suffering from these problems is the common man. the man who belongs either lower class or lower middle class….the main reason behind is economic policies which is implemented…Am not denying that government is not preparing for remedies but the thing till when some steps is taken in this regard its too late and several other problems arise due to a particular problem. The proper working and implementation is lacking in our system. Rich is becoming richer and poor are getting poorer. In India less than 2% of the earning population pay taxes … while this can be largely attributed to financial constraints, it is also true that many people hide or mask their actual incomes to escape tax. Hence, in a typical market research scenario, very few people actually reveal their true income
Difficulty in tracking over a period of time …
Due to inflation and other issues, the value of a particular salary band keeps on changing. And by such doings no one is suffered. its the common man. And i.e., somewhere we are only going to suffer. Every where we need proper arrangements. Whereas if we talk about our daily life, or any such issue we need our think to be done easily and properly. No one wants to live uneasy life but please think about the once who lives problematic lives...Investments are being made, policies and programme are being framed. But then to we are not able to cure the problems? We are not able to find the exact solution through which we should gain the maximum result.
For whom such investments are made if the citizens only are not benefited completely. Even after the developments made the citizens are facing problems then definitely some issue is there or the development made was not planned or was not in the favor of the common man…COMMON MAN plays vital role in every functioning of the governing bodies or any policies or programmes being framed. I rose up the particular issue only to acknowledge about the conditions of living of the common man. Life of common man and why we common man we can say our life is becoming miserable day by day. Life is full of struggle and adjustments. It’s the common man who has to adjust in every condition and situations...poor are being more suffered but more or less we are also suffering. There is a big difference between the elite class people and the common man or the common “in mass” just the thing I want to say “JAAGO INDIA JAAGO.AGAR AB NAHI JAAGEY TO SMAYA NIKAL JAYEGA”...if we don’t take action we only going to suffer. So as to get rid of this problems and sufferings we have to take up effective measures...
ATLAST BUT NOT THE LEAST I WOULD REQUEST YOU ALL TO PLEASE POST COM MENTS AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW YOUR VIEWS REGARDING MY THIS ISSUE..
